We are happy to announce that Kendall Draney has been appointed as our new Traffic Management Division (TMD) Director at the Traffic Operations Center. Kendall has been with UDOT for 14 years, most recently serving as Region Two Program Manager. Previously, he held roles including Assistant Traffic Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Resident Engineer, State Maintenance Engineer, and District Engineer. His leadership and innovative talents have been recognized with honors including Project Development Employee of the Year (2015), Region Two Engineer of the Year (2019), and Technology & Innovation Leader of the Year (2021). Kendall will begin the role immediately while providing transitional support to Region Two as they seek to fill their Program Manager position.

Kendall earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Utah. He lives in West Jordan with his wife of 13 years, Aubrey, and their three boys: Carver (8), Tatum (6), and Brooks (4). During his free time, he enjoys going fishing with his boys, visiting Lagoon on the weekends, coaching his sons' baseball teams, playing golf, and watching sports. As a family, they are currently on a journey to visit all 50 states, having already crossed 17 states off their list on entertaining family road trips.
