Provo Canyon Blasting

We’ve been making big progress on our US-189 widening project near Deer Creek Reservoir—and that means some big work behind the scenes. As part of construction, crews are excavating large amounts of material using controlled blasting. Each blast carefully moves about 9,000 to 11,000 cubic yards of material, all done with safety as the top priority.
