Spreading Holiday Cheer Through Service

It was a busy and meaningful end to 2025 at UDOT! During the month of December, employees from across the department came together to give back and spread holiday cheer through service.

Team members from UDOT’s Program Development team and the Trails and Transit team volunteered with Tiny Tim’s Foundation for Kids on December 16–18, donating their time to help build toy cars for children in need. Tiny Tim’s Foundation for Kids is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing smiles to children’s faces by building and delivering more than 125,000 toys each year to children around the world, as well as to patients at local hospitals, including Primary Children’s and Shriners Children’s Hospital.

Members of the Annual Conference Community Giving team were also joined by employees from each region, Communications, and the TOC to help deliver blankets that were tied at the Utah Transportation Conference. Even UDOT Executive Director Carlos Braceras pitched in, helping gather and load boxes for delivery. A total of 500 blankets were delivered across the state — from Carbon County to Duchesne County, Tooele County, Davis County, and up and down the Wasatch Front — to various groups and organizations, including the Children’s Center Utah, the Huntsman Cancer Center, Children of the Earth, the Inn Between, and YMCA Utah.
