Take Time to Connect During Family Connection Week
Gov. Spencer Cox has designated June 8–14 as Family Connection Week, encouraging Utah families to set aside time for meaningful, face-to-face connections with the people who matter most.
Whether it's sharing a meal, taking a walk, playing a game, or enjoying an activity together, even small moments of connection can have a lasting impact. Research shows that strong family relationships help build resilience, support mental wellbeing, and encourage healthy choices for children and adults alike.
Family Connection Week encourages families to "disconnect to reconnect" by putting away screens and taking time to talk, laugh, and connect without distractions. A few minutes of daily connection can strengthen relationships, improve communication, and create memories that last a lifetime.
