State Employee Benefits Virtual Information Session
At the end of the 2026 Legislative Session, SB229, the State Employee Benefits Amendment bill, went through several revisions before passing legislation. These final changes may have left employees confused as to how their benefits will ultimately be impacted.
The approved changes allows employees to choose to either keep the benefits they currently receive, or the option to move to a new benefits program that includes an enhanced 401k match for Tier II employees, a combined paid time off (PTO) structure with an increased accrual cap, state-paid short term disability and AD&D insurance, among other enhancements.
While employees are not required to make a decision on these options until this fall at the earliest, DHRM will continue to provide more information and resources to help employees make the best decision for themselves and their families.
We invite you to attend a virtual information session on Wednesday, March 25th at 2:00 p.m.
